I think the younger sibling not wanting to be left out is the more 'normal' way round. Our 3yo loves playing with his big 5yo sis, but it's not always easy to get her to include him... just life I guess. Yeah, I'm the eldest and I know there were times I didn't want my younger brother (and my sisters, I guess, but that was different since they're so much younger) hanging around me and wanted my own space. I guess, as parents, we want to give all our kids want they want/need but it gets very difficult when what they want contradicts one another!Lady Nymhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17721420961173930843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6318006438685218297.post-17177441459530675032015-08-03T06:31:32.628-07:002015-08-03T06:31:32.628-07:00Wow! My oldest, who has Autism, is a teenager now and most of the time prefers to be alone. It's not that he refuses to play with his younger brother. In fact, he spends more time with him and has more patience with him than I ever did my own younger siblings. Every now and then though, Adam just wants to be alone. He craves it like I do and this hurts Conner. I do my best to keep Conner busy because I understand being the oldest myself that need for alone time. As for movies like Frozen or any other. Conner is definitely like me in the way that he hates to see small children or animals get hurt. He also got very upset with Big Hero 6 when the main character's older brother died. That hit too close to home for my baby bear. Thanks for sharing!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11189475705940533119noreply@blogger.com
